My name is RE Casper. Born and raised in the heartland, but nomadic by nature. Starting my photographic obsession in Chicago, I now reside in the East San Francisco Bay, enjoying the beautiful panoramic from the Alameda coast.
Playing the role of artist for the last 15 years, I’ve created and sold artwork from graphite, ink and oil, filled the role of Freelance Graphic Designer for over 10 years and acted as Art Director of Camoclad Industries for over 3 years.
It’s been a winding road, but I’ve always found myself returning to photography. I’ve shot promotional imagery for “The Pavement Group” of Chicago, where my work was published across Chicago Pride and chicagotheaterbeat.com. I participated in the 2012 and published in the 2013 Plus One Collection, a project produced and managed by Ivan Makarov. Most recently, I carried out a 7 piece gallery showing at Caribou on 10 S LaSalle in downtown Chicago and featured in the Boonville Daily News for my Photobook, “2000 Miles in a Vandura.” A south-west, cross country photo tour from Illinois to California.
Through our memories, our work and the mark we leave on others, I feel we can all live forever. My art has always flowed through this outlook.
